As Dan pointed out, the most interesting bit of this photo is not Phil hanging out of a window that he is apparently doing some good work on, but instead the TRULY TERRIBLE chainsaw line just next to Phil that is to become the next window.

Obviously we immediately bought a new chainsaw in disgust of its inability to cut a straight line, and threw away the supposedly straight guide that we had used to help us cut the hole. Working with poor tools is a constant struggle.
Rather than throw the broken chainsaw away, Jon made the extremely brave move of taking it into our friendly local rental store, to see if it could be mended.

"You want me to mend a Poudan [cheap brand of Korean shite]? I don't even know where I'd get parts for that," Jon was informed, with a due sense of disgust and condescension.

So Jon bought another, identical, model.

Which also broke, within a week.
