Dan formed an instant bond with our angle grinder and their relationship has blossomed ever since. This year, it even helped him to cook some onions for dinner.
I was sent to the local hardware store to pick up some kind of bolt that we could use to connect one 14" tree-trunk to another, with possibly a 6" gap in between. In other words, a screw that was 3 feet long and strong enough to hold a (particularly heavy) roof up. And yes, in Nova Scotia the hardware store at the end of the street sells such delightful bits of metal. In England they are regarded as offensive weapons and are illegal.
